Jodie Silverman, an Art for Wellbeing artist, worked with the young people accessing the #Thrive service in Rochdale to create murals throughout the building.
Through a variety of creative workshops and consultation sessions the group designed each wall in every room with a different theme. Walking round the building now we are transported through a forest scene with an owl guarding the space, to a brilliantly bold jungle scene and lastly a galactic landscape including an astronaut flying through space and of course the all-important space whales.
Jodie had some help in creating the final room supported by our very talented volunteer, Jack, who created a playful cityscape that expands across the room with a beloved resident that looks out from between the building. The group are over the moon with their new space, and who wouldn’t be!
