In 2016, 3 Art for Wellbeing projects were commissioned by Barnardos in Bury and Rochdale, working in 2 residential settings.
We delivered a range of sessions, from exploring the work of female graffiti artists to creating artistic objects and images for the young people to display in their rooms.
We delivered 2 Art for Wellbeing projects commissioned by Barnardos Bury, working in 2 residential settings.
At Rachel House sessions were run on a drop in basis, with participants exploring female graffiti artists and techniques using overlay and acetate.
We then created a collage piece including all work made over the project which was exhibited in Gallery One Touchstones Rochdale as part of our exhibition ‘Ours’
At Gabriel Court we worked with young mothers over 3 courses, to produce a range of outcomes they could display in their personal space. The participants explored techniques such as marbling, papercuts, origami and collages during these relaxing sessions.
We also used our Art for Wellbeing resource, Wellbeing Dominoes to structure sessions and offer creative activities to the groups.
