Cartwheel Arts has been commissioned by Action Together and Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale CCG to consult with women experiencing racial inequalities around maternity and perinatal service design.
Partnering with Healthwatch Rochdale, we are delivering a short Creative Journaling course aimed at women of South Asian heritage with children aged three or under at Deeplish Community Centre.
The sessions, led by Liz Mytton from Theatre in Flow and Stacey Coughlin from Sams Art, will be fun and creative. They will also be supported by Salma Khalid, an Emotional Support Worker and translators.
The workshops start on Monday 16th May. We will meet for two weeks, break for half term, and then meet for two weeks in June. Participants are encouraged to attend all of the sessions and a voucher will be given to those women who attend all four.
Free refreshments will be provided along with a play worker to keep children entertained.
