In 2020 Arts Council England funded Cartwheel Arts to deliver an exciting new project that supported ten freelance artists who had delivered a project with us recently or been supported by the Rochdale Borough Culture Network.
Each practitioner was paired with another, creating five partnerships who then collaborated to develop ten new artworks responding to the climate emergency, as well as and an accompanying activity to inspire residents of Rochdale Borough during the pandemic.
Cartwheel printed postcards with their activities to send to our regular participants, encouraging artistic practice at home and engagement with environmental issues.
