Art & Soul and Nature

Funded by Heywood Township this project focussed on nature, how we can make art with it, inspired by it as well as nurturing our wellbeing.

Facilitated by Art for Wellbeing practitioner Alex Blakey this course took participants through an array of art making techniques including:

  • Collage
  • Plastic bag art
  • Willow weaving
  • Using the senses
  • Traditional photograph exposure
  • Making natural inks

The group went on a trip to Daisy Nook and were incredibly lucky with the weather! A huge thanks to Heywood Township for support us to run this course.

"I learned some new interesting techniques that I have never heard of before, early photograohs were interesting"

"Good tutor, interesting ideas, unusual new techniques"

"I have felt so much better since starting the art group"
