2016 - Digital Communities

22nd June - 27th August 2016

The sixteen short films featuring as part of programmes Wellbeing Animated #1, #2 and Wellbeing experiments were the result of two eight-week long artist-led workshops.

Participants learned how to plan, create and produces stop motion films to talk about their wellbeing. They where able to organise their feelings, emotions, fears, ideas, views or wishes using story boards, mood boards, notes, drawings, etc. - some of them displayed randomly on the walls- that would after develop to become a film.

Artist Lisa Risbec was commissioned to re-interpret the artworks produced during the workshops on ‘Wood’ by the Arts and Soul group.

Digital Communities has allowed Cartwheel Arts to work with digital artists and partners, to develop the communications framework and necessary skills to deliver and share innovative digital projects and engage new audiences. The exhibition reveals the potential inspirational creativity lying inside everyone.
