Debbie Goldsmith

Based in Cheshire, she has her own studio where she explores the use of colour and texture in her paintings and rug-making. Debbie’s work has gained recognition and has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the UK and internationally. Debbie's artistic practice encompasses painting, printmaking, and rug-making, drawing inspiration from the natural world and exploring the use of colour. In addition to her artistic practice, Debbie has a passion for arts education. With over 30 years of experience in the cultural sector, she has delivered workshops for various age groups and previously coordinated the Early Years and Families programme at Tate Liverpool until 2020. She believes in the transformative power of creativity and supports individuals in using art as a means of self-expression and well-being. Debbie actively collaborates with schools, galleries, and organisations including Cartwheel Arts, NOVUS & HMP, Mid-Cheshire Hospitals, Manchester City Council, Crewe Heritage Centre, and the Community Rail Network to deliver workshops and project-manage projects. She enjoys working with people and collaborating with other artists and designers. Recent projects include working with schools to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the King's Coronation year, and developing an activity booklet for the Community Rail Network and the Crewe to Manchester line. Through her work and community engagement, Debbie strives to foster creativity, enhance connections, and promote the arts as a catalyst for personal and social transformation. instagram Debbie_goldsmith twitter deb_gold
