Director of Cartwheel since the summer of 2004, prior to which he was one of the Projects Co-ordinators, Rick still gets involved in projects as much as he can. He says  the variety of work Cartwheel is doing now is brilliant. Rick has worked in the participatory arts for, well, quite a long time now. His background originally was in community print and design as well as commercial printing for the music business, the labour movement and theatres. He spent 10 years with Greenwich Mural Workshop in Woolwich running the screenprinting and repro department. He worked as a freelance artist for some years before joining Cartwheel, so he appreciates the pressures on freelancers and some of the issues that arise.
